No Caption La Plata Structure Fire

PHVFD&RS, November 23

Shortly before 5PM, Potomac Heights VFD&RS was alerted to a structure fire on Harmony Farm Place in La Plata. Engine 73 initially responded with Tanker 7 being added after it was verified to be a working fire. Engine 73 was the fifth due engine and Chief 7A set up a water fill site at Lowe's. Tanker 7 Responds to Accokeek Structure Fire

PHVFD&RS, November 18

On Wednesday, November 16th, Potomac Heights VFD&RS Tanker 7 responded to a structure fire in Accokeek, Maryland. Upon arrival, Tanker 7 supplied water to the Engine Company and then participated in shuttling water multiple times between available hydrants and the scene.

On Thursday, November 10th, Potomac Heights VFD&RS Fire Sergeant Dylan Walker (the 2021 Firefighter of the Year), EMS Sergeant Alyssa Linkins (#1 in 2021 EMS calls), and Auxiliary Member Donald Willett (the 2021 Outstanding Auxiliary Award) were honored at the Charles County Chamber of Commerce First Responders Dinner.

Halloween In Potomac Heights

Last night, Potomac Heights VFD&RS members setup inside the Potomac Heights Community Building and gave out candy, potato chips, and Fire Prevention bags to the many children that stopped by while Trick or Treating in the neighborhood. PHVFD&RS, October 29

Today, Potomac Heights VFD&RS members participated in the Bryans Road VFD&RS Trunk or Treat Event. Members from both stations handed out Fire Prevention and Recruitment materials with candy to children in the community. The fire departments of Charles County's West Side are committed to working together to recruit and retain members who will serve our communities in their times of need.
