2020 MSFA Convention Memorial Service

Every year the Maryland State Firemen’s Association host a Memorial Service honoring those members of Maryland Fire & EMS Companies that passed away at its yearly convention in Ocean City. Because of the COVID-19 Pandemic, this years Memorial Service was held “Virtually”. No Caption Confined Space Team Rescues Cat from Spillway

PHVFD&RS, May 03

On May 3, 2020 at 14:42 hours this afternoon, our Confined Space Team was alerted for the animal rescue at the University of Maryland Charles Regional Medical Center. Units from the La Plata Volunteer Fire Department were on the scene and had a small cat that was trapped in a spillway. Our Confined Space Unit responded with 5 Volunteers and was able to successfully rescue the cat from the hole.
