Last night, at our monthly business meeting, we were honored to have some special guests on hand and celebrate the awarding of the 2021 C. Oscar Baker Maryland State Firemen's Association (MSFA) Rookie of the Year Award to Potomac Heights VFD&RS member, Brenden Donais. This award is presented yearly on behalf of the MSFA by the Mt. Airy Volunteer Fire Company. Charles County Commissioner, Thomasina Coates, presented Brenden with a certificate and coin from the Commissioners. Charles County Volunteer Firemen's Association President, Rick Bowie, and Coordinator/Public Information Officer, William Smith, presented Brenden with a Certificate of Achievement and a framed collage of patches from each of the fire departments in the county. We are all proud of Brenden and his hard work and dedication to serving his community which led him to win this prestigious award. Congratulations!
