Some photos from this mornings first due Fire. This structure is located 3 doors down from the station. Our members are very familiar with this structure as we have run it several times in the past for smaller fires and medical locals. What was unknown until this morning is that at one point, this building had flat roof on it and had a pitched roof added on top of that flat roof. If you notice from the photos, the fire inside of the tenable space was knocked down fairly quickly but the fire in the attic space grew rapidly. This is because crews were not able to access the area between the two roofs from inside the structure. Once again we are very grateful for everyone that assisted with the extinguishment of this fire and with the patient care of our member that needed medical assistance.
