It was a great night for the Volunteers of the Potomac Heights Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue Squad! Several members took apparatus the 58th Annual Potomac River Festival Fire/Rescue Parade in Colonial Beach Virginia. Members spent a lot of time prepping the apparatus for the parade and assuring that everything was in top shape. At the awards ceremony we were awarded the following seven awards...
1. 1st Place, Best Appearing Antique (1959 and older) for our 1935 Ford American LaFrance.
2. 1st Place, Best Appearing Brush Truck for Engine 74.
3. 1st Place, Best Appearing Custom Pumper for Engine 72
4. 1st Place, Best Appearing Tanker for Tanker 7.
5. 1st Place Best Appearing Company (Out of State)
6. The 2019 Charles E. Catlett Jr. Memorial Award for the Best Appearing Pierce for Engine 72.
7. The 2019 Joe Tate Memorial Award for the Best Appearing Company Overall.
