Register Online for Upcoming Blood Drive at PHVFD

PHVFD has partnered with the American Red Cross to host an appreciation blood drive to honor a past auxiliary member who is currently being transfused with blood on a regular basis.

The blood drive will be at the Potomac Height Volunteer Fire & Rescue on June 28, 2008, 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. The address is 73 Glymont Road, Indian Head, MD 20640. The Sponsor Code for this drive is 15211.

To donate blood, you must be generally in good health, be at least 17 years of age (16 years old in Maryland with written parental consent), weight no less than 110 pounds, have not received a tattoo within the past 12 months, and have not donated whole blood within the past 56 days of the blood drive.

For additional information about donating blood, please go to www.my-redcross.org or you call 1-800-GIVE-LIFE.

To ensure adequate staff and resources for the blood drive and to help keep everyone's donations to under an hour, the American Red Cross needs you to register for a specific time. For your convenience we are offering you the ability to schedule your appointment online by clicking here.

4.5 million Americans would die each year without life saving blood transfusions... and your single blood donation could help save up to three lives. We encourage you to please schedule your donation today.

Thank you for supporting our appreciation blood drive,

PHVFD
